Forty-One V Flexdex® Skateboard OK Flexdex fans...this is the coolest thing to
come from our madman Barkley's brain in a few years.
It takes longer to make, costs a few bucks more, but the reward is there for ya. Using Randal-2 180mm trucks (front & rear) with 1/8" risers, 65mm x 78a Urethane Center-Core Kryptonics-cast wheels (using our custom mold), and ABEC3 racing bearings. The core is 9mm Flexdex composite. The Short Vent is slightly stiffer than the Long Vented board, which gives good response, without losing to much snap. The Long vented board is for the rider that likes to feel the board flex in the turns, great response from the heel and toe edges.

So what's that do for the ride? Read a testimonial:
So I road the board on Tuesday evening in Bonsall on a hill that was approx. 1 mile long. My first impression of the board was that it flexed about 30% more than the Wingnut, It was faster out of the transition from rail to rail than the Wingnut. Also the steeper the hill became the easier it was for me to keep my control due to the increased flexibility in the mid section of the board. Having the additional flex during the high speed turn helped control the transition. The weight was also was an improvement over the Wingnut model. I felt it was at least 3-4 pounds lighter. I really felt the power out of each turn due to the added flex and was able to pump the board quicker. I was really impressed by the incredible ease from which turns came, with little effort I was able to grind the entire 1 mile hill with no pressure or strain on my legs or feet. Even breaking the wheels free in a controlled power slide felt comfortable with the additional flex. I have to say the combination of the Randall 2 Trucks and the Slat 41 is a winning combination. I let my buddy ride it and he had similar comments yet he was concerned that the increased flex might be to much the more heavy the individual. Even with that comment, he told me he has never skated a board that was that responsive. "That stick turns on a dime!"
I would say that if you needed only one board this would be the one. This board takes Flexdex to a new level, the added flexibility and responsiveness has increased the performance of modern hill skating 50%. "
We agree. Buy it. You'll be stoked.
